Coordination & Safety Plan
We coordinate shutdown/decommissioning with a licensed elevator/escalator contractor. Hoistways and machine rooms are secured; barricades and signage protect public areas.
Make-Safe & Isolation
Power, controls, and communications are isolated; counterweights and traction components are secured per specialist procedures. For escalators, pit access and lockouts are verified.
Disassembly & Rigging
Cabs, machines, rails, and controllers (or escalator trusses, steps, drives) are dismantled and rigged out via hoistway, crane, or building paths with tight dust and debris control.
Shaft/Penetration Closure & Handover
Openings are made safe and temporarily closed per scope, ready for your infill contractor. Metals are recycled where feasible; a completion note documents decommissioning and removals.
